Enerpoint for Africa

  • Project: Purchase of “plumpy nut” nutritional bags
  • Associations: Association “Friends of Angal”

Unfortunately, hunger is still one of the major calamities to hit these poor Countries in the southern part of the world. In 1968 a “nutritional centre” was set up at Angal hospital. Since then they have provided 3 meals a day with a high protein content for the malnourished and/or destitute and for the patients (especially children).

For more serious cases, in October-November 2005 they have experimented with a food that was studied on purpose, the “plumpy nut”, made in France.

Claudia Marsiaj (see photo) was able to observe the satisfying results of this product thanks to Enerpoint sending a 2 month supply.

You start with small things… we hope in future to manage to purchase a greater quantity of “plumpy nut” so we can support those little children who have a daily struggle to survive.
