Enerpoint lands in UK
The will to enter a new and appealing foreign market has encouraged Enerpoint – top player of the PV industry in Italy – to face the UK challenge thus opening its new premises in London: Enerpoint Ltd. This “operation” is part of Enerpoint’s consolidated strategy of internationalization which allowed the Group to achieve relevant outcomes in Germany and Israel, where the company has been operating since March 2011.
Boasting over 11 years experience in the renewable energies industry, Enerpoint is announcing the opening of its new London office during the seventh edition of Ecolbuild 2012 - the major international event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment – which is going to take place in London from 20th to 22nd March, 2012. Enerpoint belongs to the “Italian excellence” businesses of the energy industry attending this traditional exhibition which attracts over 55,000 visitors.
Enerpoint is one of the first Italian distributors landing in UK; its aim is to become – in few years - a benchmark for the UK installers thanks to the top quality of its services. The new English company is expected to achieve sales of about 12 million Euros by the end of 2015.
The renewable energies market in the UK has a great potential for further growth: suffice to say that in 2009 the UK PV market grew by 53% and in 2011 over 700 MWp of new power were installed. Furthermore the British Government announced an ambitious project: to achieve 22 GW of installed power by 2020.
“We are strongly convinced that the UK PV has a great potential – stated Michele de Marsico, International Business Manager at Enerpoint – also because of the economic stability and the steady increase in energy prices in Britain. In addition to this, the British Government firmly believes in renewable energies, thus implementing policies whose aim is to give continuity to the PV project”.
Also the large number of companies of the renewable energy industry, present at Ecobuild, is a sign of the on-going growth and development of a market eager for innovations, both in terms of technologies and services. Indeed, Great Britain is a very important market to make business with for Italy, which - between 2009 and 2010 - boosted its exports of PV panels with an increase by 119.66%. This data is expected to grow also due to the Low Carbon Buildings Programme, which provides for the construction of zero-emission buildings in England.
The Enerpoint Group expansion in the UK is part of a large-scale internationalization strategy: “We are establishing ourselves and growing up on foreign markets too – declared Paolo Rocco Viscontini, President and CEO of Enerpoint SpA - as witnessed by our participation in the major international trade exhibitions such as Intersolar in Germany, Solarexpo in Verona, Clean Tech in Israel”. “We will keep on following our internationalization and diversification strategy, by exporting our business model – we deem to be a successful one - also to other countries”, concluded Paolo Rocco Viscontini.
